Cookie policy

Information about cookies, consent and your privacy preferences.

Last updated: 24 October 2026. This policy describes the current use of cookies on the Verheyen Accountants BV website and the rules that would apply if optional analytics or marketing technologies were introduced.

This is an English translation of the Dutch-language cookie policy.

1. What are cookies and trackers?

Cookies are small data files your browser can store. Pixels, browser storage and similar technologies may also process information about your device and how you use a website. Not all such technologies are essential.

2. Which categories do we use?

Strictly necessary

Strictly necessary technologies may be used for security, essential website features and technical communication. Consent is not required for cookies that are genuinely essential. Not every visit necessarily places one.

Statistics – Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 is not currently active. If introduced later, non-essential analytics technologies would only be loaded or accessed after consent. Possible data could include pages visited, events, device characteristics and online identifiers.

Marketing – Meta Pixel

Meta Pixel is not currently active. If introduced later, separate consent would be requested before marketing tracking. The pixel could then measure advertising results and selected website actions. Meta may process visit and browser data subject to applicable privacy terms.

3. How can you make a choice?

There is currently no active tracking through Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. If optional trackers are added later, they will only be enabled after a banner offers equally accessible options to reject, accept or manage preferences. Statistics and marketing are switched off by default.

If consent is sought in future, you will also be able to change or withdraw it afterwards. You can view and delete cookies using your browser settings at any time. Contact the office with questions about personal data.

4. Cookies and retention periods

Where a consent banner is used, a strictly necessary cookie may remember your choice for, in principle, no more than six months. Before activating Google Analytics or Meta Pixel, we will update this policy with the actual cookie names, providers, purposes and retention periods. _ga and _fbp are possible examples but are not currently placed by this website through GA4 or Meta Pixel.

Technical cookies placed by WordPress, the web server or security measures may differ by visit and functionality. New services will be reviewed and the inventory updated before activation.

5. Third parties and international transfers

Where analytics and marketing are used, Google and Meta may act as independent service providers or controllers. Processing or access outside the European Economic Area may occur. Before activation, we will review privacy terms, roles, legal safeguards and account settings. See Google Privacy and Meta Privacy.

6. Controller and contact

Verheyen Accountants BV, Hazeweg 10, 2840 Reet (Rumst), Belgium, VAT BE 0727.577.994. Questions: kristof@accountant-verheyen.be. See our privacy policy for other personal data and your rights.

7. Changes

We will update this document and, where required, the consent request if the website, services or cookie inventory change. Last updated: 24 October 2026. Read the Dutch original.
